Drugs
There is legislation that controls the use of drugs in the UK.
Generally the only drugs you are allowed to posess are the ones that you are given by your doctor, or ones that you are able to buy from a chemist.
Alcohol, tobacco, and solvents (gas, glues and aerosols) are also classed as drugs in the UK, and these are controlled by separate laws which control the sale of these substances to people over certain ages.
The ages for the purchase of these substances are:
- Alcohol 18 years of age
- Tobacco 16 years of age
- Solvents 18 years of age
Cannabis is illegal in the UK.
