Taxis
Taxis are generally more expensive than buses or trains, and often wait in taxi ranks outside stations or in town centres.
Alternatively, you can telephone a local taxi company to book a journey, or to ask a taxi or private hire car to collect you straightaway. A licensed “taxi”, which has a green roof sign can be hailed to pick you up anywhere. A “private hire car”, which does not have a roof sign must be booked by telephone.
