Health and Safety for Workers
If you are working in the UK, both you and your employer have rights and responsibilities with regards to health and safety. These are the same whether you are full-time or part-time, and whether your job is temporary, casual or permanent.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) is a government organisation that works to protect the health, safety and welfare of workers by enforcing health and safety law and offering advice and support. The document below, produced by the HSE, sets out what you should expect when you work in the UK, and where to get advice if you are concerned about health and safety:

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has developed a website to help overseas workers and their employers understand their roles and responsibilities under British health and safety law. It provides essential information and advice on workplace health and safety which is useful to both employers and employees.
Fire Safety at Work
Your employer has a legal duty to ensure that all people are safe in the workplace. If you are concerned that where you are working may not be safe in the event of fire, then please telephone the Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service on 01432 274561 and ask to speak to a Fire Safety Officer, or e-mail. You can speak to us confidentially and you do not have to leave your name.
